Having died unexpectedly at a scene of blaze, firefighter Ja-hong is taken to the afterlife by 3 afterlife guardians. Only when he goes through 7 trials over 49 days, he’s able to reincarnate, and his 3 afterlife guardians are by his side to defend his innocence in trial. His trial goes without a hitch, until Jae-hong’s brother Su-hong, who died begrudgingly, has turned into a vile spirit and begins attacking the netherworld, thereby interrupting Jae-hong’s trial. Through the course of this battle, hidden facts of Su-hong’s death are uncovered and proof of Jae-hong’s innocence is now uncertain. The afterlife guardians fight to reincarnate both brothers and their journey unravels before their eyes.
